Never apologize for how you feel, but understand it
December 08, 2014

Our feelings drive our action and is both the source of our mental distress and our triumphs and achievements. You could say that how we feel is who we are.

Of course if an emotion is very powerful, then the action that follows will be uncontrolled and potentially hurtful and then regretted – such as an anger outburst. But even if the action should be apologized for and there follows a strong emotion of desire to control the anger in the future, then surely it is better to understand where the anger might have come from rather than to dismiss it?

So never apologize for the emotion itself but ponder why and when it arises and what it is trying to say to you.

best wishes
