The upside Risk
June 13, 2016
Hello,

I am going to talk about the referendum debate and the use of the word risk. Both sides seem to think that risk is a bad thing – and this applies particularly to the remainers, who talk of the risks of being outside the single market. But the outers also talk of the risk for example of staying when and if the euro zone needs more bailouts.

My point is that there is nothing wrong with risk as it implies the existence of an upside too. Without risk, as we take a considered course of action, we may be cutting ourselves off from the possibility of something that will be much better.

The degree of risk that we are comfortable with should recognize that the future is inherently unpredictable but there is always the possibility that the future will be better.

So what is the upside of remaining compared to the upside of leaving? Now there’s a question that has hardly ever been considered in the debate.

PURITY
by Sophia Yasmeen

Purity is of two kinds, internal purity, and external purity. Internal purity is more important than the external purity. Internal purity makes the mind one-pointed, bestows serenity, cheerfulness, joy, strength, harmony, poise and happiness. Instils love, peace and magnanimity. Our souls have become so polluted with less than divine qualities, it can hardly enjoy being alive. Purifying the soul puts the higher self back in charge. Useless and negative thoughts are removed and annoying habits finish. A pure soul cannot be touched by sorrow, for it only serves to remove sorrow of the whole world. The power of purity melts away all the pollution and it frees you from all battles forever. Purity is the passport to the land of bliss.

Sophia is a beautiful writer and I am happily sharing her work in my Feelbetter Newsletter.

best wishes
