Perfectly Perfect
May 16, 2016

I have little doubt that for most things and for most activities and for most of us, perfectionism is something to be avoided. And that perfectionism keeps us unbalanced snd frustrated. In a real sense, perfectionism is an addiction that we hang onto in the face of a life that could work much better for us.

But this is not the same as striving to be the very best and being proud to have achieved something that is wonderful and is truly admirable.

That is what was achieved by Nissan in their production of the GT-R super car. Why, they even accounted for the curvature of the earth. See here.

Fall in love with someone who inspires you and makes you happy
by Sophia Yasmeen

Inspiration is like weed when you have the right amount. It grows wildly and quickly and spread throughout the surface. It moves our emotions, our intellect and our habits. But when we need to look outside all the times to be influenced, to feel happiness and love, to deeply care for someone, to better ourselves then it becomes a dependency. True happiness has to come from within and for that we even have to let go of our need to be inspired. We have to develop strength until we no longer need any kind of inspiration or encouragement from anyone else, because my friend... inspiration is not WISDOM. You get high from reading my articles and say 'Sophia is wonderful' and then after a while you don't get high on me anymore and think 'Sophia is disappointing, she let's me down. ' being inspired by external tools is like eating chocolate. It taste good but there is no Irishmen. It will only energise momentarily and that is all it can do. Sometimes we become intoxicated by somebody elses charisma, but we can't maintain it, so we inevitably fall down into some lower state. If we don't Learn to be self reliant our happiness will be very short lived. No one in life is always happy it is a sense of contentment that we create through developing insight and spiritual practice, because inspiration wears out. If we are attached to it we are in for terrible disillusionment. We need to learn to look at everyone and all situations in life without labelling them, they are all part of us and all of it is good. Happiness will find us throughout our life if first we take the time to love ourselves. This reminds me of Wayne dyer's statement, "Be yourself and run your life by what you know to be right and in harmony with your spiritual essence. That is, by the integrity of your own mind."

Sophia is a beautiful writer and I am happily sharing her work in my Feelbetter Newsletter.
