Baking the Cake
April 20, 2015

You can’t ice a cake until you have a cake

Now that is a statement of the bleeding obvious - but it doesn’t mean that we should ignore it or gainsay it. And It is not just that you should not count your chickens before they have hatched – because at least there you know that you do have chickens. Or that you should not cry over spilt milk because at least then you can remember the milk boiling or even that it is not always the case that a watched kettle or saucepan for that matter never boils. Neither am I jumping the gun when I say this, because there is no gun and no race for that matter.

No, put the effort into cake making and if necessary bake another cake before you even give any consideration to the icing.

best wishes

Albert Schweitzer said “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success” It is the art of living, the purpose of our existence. Happiness is the true index of quality of life. Pure happiness is said to be both an inner glow and an outer radiation that you can feel together with utmost satisfaction. Happiness is an infectious feeling that immediately lifts the sagging spirits of people. Happy people know the little ways to appreciate themselves and to see the humour and magic in each moment.

Sophia is a beautiful writer and I will be sharing her work in my Feelbetter Newletter over the coming months. Enjoy.
