The answer to this question is of course that we are very rarely completely ready but this should not necessarily stop us. Action is normally better than inaction and delay can so easily morph into procrastination.
So, resolve to do more and delay less. And make active planning part of the doing more.
SUFFERING IS OPTIONAL
by Sophia Yasmeen
As I sit in my Yog (meditation) I grow very calm within. Any pain that arises in my body I never try to get rid of it. Instead I take time to be with my bodily pains. When they come up in my consciousness I say to myself....I have all the time in the world, the rest of my life to be with this pain.....This stops my propensity to want to get rid of the pain. My mind slows down for long periods of time without creating a desire. Trying to get rid of something is the same as to run away from it. Enlightenment arrives not by sitting under a tree but by enduring things patiently and remain
connected to the higher self. Pain is inevitable in life but suffering is optional.
