Daydreaming to emotional health
March 31, 2014

We all daydream and so we can be assured that it is essential for us. It is how we process what has been happening to us and allows lessons to be learned that we can use later. It can also be a deeply calming unconscious experience.

But what is going on when we have awareness of our daydreaming, such that it becomes conscious? Well then, it will be either a conscious act of retreat borne out of fear and the need to be protected from what is happening to us “out there” or as a powerful preparatory step to clearing out the daily detritus of our unconscious mind. And when we can do that, then we have the opportunity to make deeper connections and understandings that take us back to what lies beyond us.

best wishes
