Sidling up to the Problem
July 24, 2017

This shows my age but I recall Round the Horne. It was a quick fire comedy show on the BBC Home Service every Sunday at around lunch time, if I remember correctly – in the 1960s.

Interviewer speaking to a doctor.”Do you charge your patients?”
Doctor “No I tend to sidle up to them”

I know, it’s the way I tell em!

I am a great believer is sidling up. In other words you don’t tackle the problem head on but are always on the lookout for something that is not quite obvious. And then if you make a not so obvious change who knows what might happen? Afterall, if it was so obvious then that would have been the answer.

I don't ask for favours from the azure sky.
I confront the stars and wrest from them my heart desire.
More than cry which echoes my heart’s strife
I don't let it leave my lips...
When I climb the skies above their blue vault and make it my resting place.
    make it my beloved
Behind all the scars, and all pain, my heart finds it's garden of delight
