I asked a question at the end of last week’s newsletter. If to flourish is what we human are looking to do – what might that mean?
And my answer is straight from the Human Givens hymn sheet. To flourish, like any living creature requires that we are well nourished emotionally – such that we can thrive. And so we must be stretched by what we do, be curious and open to what we find and be well connected. And we must feel safe.
And then truly we will flourish.

Everything that happens is meant to happen. It is not a mistake. When a person worries about an exam his worry of the questions that will be asked does not allow him to remember what he knows. Panic sets in. Action needs to be present but so does detachment from the concept of victory and defeat. It doesn't exist, as human victories only create bigger egos and pride is always followed by a fall. Win today lose tomorrow. The mind cannot recall it's own wisdom when fear of an outcome or emotion is working. Good days and bad days do not exist when you are aware that everything is
repeating from the previous cycle as it is meant to. Nothing is new. Stand on the rail of the life drama and be a detached observer and the universe will make you into an instrument and the best will happen. You will see success and failure in the same light. Bring the power of detachment into play. Embrace and include everything in this poised attention. Attachment benefits no one. They have mistaken it for something else.
